Composition Services & Charges

Composition Length

Please provide the desired composition length in your initial request. If an exact length isn't required, the final audio may vary slightly. No additional charges will apply if the final track exceeds the proposed length, unless you specifically request a revision after work begins.

• Up to 1 minute - $100 - Great for short jingles.
• 1 to 2 minutes - $190 - Great for short background music or instrumentals.
• 2 to 3 minutes - $280 - Great for standard songs.
• 3+ minutes - Add $50 per additional 30 seconds.

Mixing & Mastering

Mixing and mastering refine your audio into a polished, professional product. Depending on the project's complexity, two tiers of mixing & mastering are offered:

• Simple Project - $40: Fewer than 8 main tracks (excluding effects), includes light mastering.
• Complex Project - $100+: More than 8 main tracks, with full mixing and detailed mastering.

Mixing and mastering can be provided as a separate service if you have audio that needs to be mixed/ mastered.

Licensing Options

Personal Use License - Free

Allows private, non-commercial enjoyment of the audio, including:

• Personal listening
• Use in school projects, home videos, or private social media posts (not publicly viewable or monetized).
• No redistribution or commercial use permitted.
• Perpetual license.

Non-Exclusive License - $20

Allows both personal and commercial use, with the following terms:

• CDcruz retains the right to license the audio to others or use it in personal projects and portfolios.
• Redistribution or resale of the audio outside agreed use cases is prohibited without written consent.
• Perpetual, worldwide license.

Exclusive License - $100

Provides sole usage rights. Terms include:

• Only you may use the delivered audio for personal or commercial purposes.
• CDcruz cannot reuse or license the audio without your written consent.
• Copyright remains with CDcruz. This ensures creator credit while you have full usage rights.
• Perpetual, worldwide license.

Delivery Options

Final products are delivered as MP3 or WAV files. Stems (individual audio tracks) can also be provided:

• MP3/WAV - Free
• MP3/WAV + Stems - $20

Final products can be sent to you via E-mail or on Discord. For larger projects, you may need to download the files from a secure cloud hosted link.

Revisions

All projects include 1 major revision at no additional charge. Minor revisions are free and unlimited. Revisions may be made from the commencement of work until 14 days after the final product delivery.

Major revisions include:

• Structural changes (e.g., adding or removing sections)
• Changing melody, harmony, tempo, or genre
• Replacing core instruments or adapting to new vocals
• Extending the length beyond the original agreement

Additional major revisions - $50 each. Larger revisions may extend the project turnaround time.

Minor revisions include:

• Volume adjustments
• Adding/removing sound effects
• Timing fixes
• Changing synthesizer sounds

Additional Services

Audio Cleanup - $10 per unedited minute

Removes noise and enhances clarity in audio/video recordings. Results depend on original recording quality.

Charges apply based on the original length of audio.

Sound Effects Creation - 10 samples for $10

Custom, production-ready sounds for use in video, games, apps, and more.

Voiceover Recording - $10 per edited minute

Professional voiceovers performed by CDcruz. Provide direction and context for the best result. Great for audiobooks, narration, or other voiceover work.

Charges apply based on the length of the final provided audio.

Studio Recording Session - $50 per hour

Join CDcruz in-person for recording your own vocals, instruments, or other performances. Includes light mixing to provide a professional final product.

Podcast Editing - $40 per episode

Editing of audio-only podcasts to a consistent, professional standard. Client must provide any music or sound effects required.¹

Editing includes removal of ums, adding intro/ outros, leveling, noise clean-up and more.

Charges may vary depending on the length or complexity of episodes.

Terms of Service

Project Outlines

Good projects start with clear communication. Please include as much detail as possible in your request, such as:

• Desired length of the audio or composition
• Intended use (e.g., livestreams, video games, podcasts, etc.) so I can tailor the production to your needs
• For compositions, describe the genre or style you want—sharing audio references is always helpful!

Everything is flexible and open to discussion. For particularly complex projects, additional costs may be discussed before any work begins.

Turnaround Time

Average turnaround is 30 days. Some projects may be quicker or longer depending on scope and availability. Delays may occur due to revisions or personal events. No penalties or extra fees for extended timelines.

Cancellation

Requests may be canceled or declined for any reason, including but not limited to, personal life events, unpaid invoices, the project is not a good fit for me, or a breakdown in communication. If I cancel the project, any prior payments will be fully refunded.

Communication

You may contact me either by E-mail, Instagram or Discord to discuss the project and approve drafts.

If there is no response from you for 30 days when attempting to contact you in relation to a project, the project may be cancelled unless prior notice is provided.

Payments

Payment is split into two parts: 50% upfront before work begins, 50% after final delivery. Payments are non-refundable unless I cancel the project.

If there are any changes or revisions to the work. These costs will be added to the final invoice.

Payment is to be made via Paypal or Bank transfer. Details on how to pay will be provided on your invoice.

Crediting

When publishing or sharing the audio publicly, please credit "CDcruz" as the composer/producer, and link to https://cdcruz.com/. Credit is required for any license.

Price Changes

Prices on this page may change at any time. Projects in-progress will not have any price changes applied.

Portfolio Use

Unless under exclusive license, I may share excerpts of the final audio in my portfolio or social media to showcase my work.
